Miss Lacy:)

This is my niece Lacy and she is going to be starting at a new preschool this year. Their family recently moved to South Carolina and so she is having a great adventure there experiencing all kinds of fun new things! I miss her tons but it makes me so happy every time I get to FaceTime or get a letter in the mail hearing about this wonderful adventure. This is a picture of her in one of her adorable new school outfits. So cute!! Love you Lacy!!!!

Penelope's Quilt

So...my second grand daughter is due next month and I haven't even started her quilt! I did buy fabric today though. What do you think? I think it will be gorgeous! Wish me luck!

Kitchen for Ella

Morgan was here to visit last month and we got brave and decided to BUILD Ella a play kitchen.  I wasn't too sure we could pull it off but we did.  It turned out amazing and I am pretty sure I will be building another for my house.  It was my very favorite project ever!!

The Last few years!

The last couple of years have been some of the hardest of my life so far, so I apologize for not keeping up on things like ...this blog! Oh well.  Learned a lot and have found strength I didn't even know I had.  Here is a small part of what has been happening in the Myers family(in no peticular order)...

-Ella, our first grandbaby, was born!
-A few kids moved out...and a few moved in.
-David went to Saudi Arabia, South America, and a few other places in the world I can't remember all ...and soon it could be Sweden.
-Jake received his mission call to Kyiv, Ukraine.
-I became a Dental Assistant.
-We found out that Ella is going to be a big sister.
-Sara and Charlie got married!
-Brad traveled to the Dominican Republic with the BYUI music dept.
-Landon started dating his lovely girlfriend Jodi.
-Zach lost his job...then got it back.
-Tiana finished at Paul Mitchell.
-I enrolled at CBC and became a full time student.
-We painted our house...that was exciting!  haha
-Landon learned to build a deck.
-Took a trip to Utah.
-I went to New York for my birthday and it was awesome!

I could be here all night listing the many things we have been up to but I will spare everyone!  You can thank me later:)

Hilarious!

Summer fun at Auntie Mary's house.  She didn't want to leave, but who does?  Mary's is the best!

Puddle?

Our street is now one big puddle....or lake if it keeps raining like this. This rain reminds me of a time when I was little. It was raining about this hard in Othello, and my dad took off our shoes and rolled up our jeans and all of us ran through the huge puddles in the street and got completely soaked. It was so much fun...if I wasn't sick, I just might go run in it today. :)

Rainy Day

It's another rainy day in Kennewick. I actually love the rain. I am home sick today and can see and hear the rain out my bedroom window. David took the kids to the cabin and for the moment the house is quiet and peaceful. Now I love the sunshine, don't get me wrong, but there is nothing like a good rain shower to wash away all the dirt and clean away all the desert sand. It's a beautiful thing.

Five Generations

My sister Sue, Niece Mallory, her little girl Lacy, my Grandma and my mother. Five generations of Davenport women. Isn't that amazing....

My Grandma

My grandma and I at my Aunt and Uncles 50th wedding anniversary party. Isn't she beautiful! It was wonderful to see her! We had five generations of women at the party and got some great pics. I just love my grandma and have some great memories of visiting her at Green Lake, doing puzzles and eating cookies. She always had cookies:) She always bought us new shoes, and as all grandmas do...made me feel so special and loved. She still does. I have such affection for her, and think she is one of the most beautiful people I know... inside and out! She is nearly 90 yrs old and her skin is still flawless. I hope I can look like that at 90!

Spring Cleaning!

This was me today! I had the day off so I decided I would do a little spring cleaning. It always feels good when I am done, but it's hard getting started. So I got started right after I dropped off Landon at school and when everyone got home I had them help me finish in the kitchen. They hated it but it looks amazing and feels so good to clean thing out! Tomorrow we are going to tackle the bedrooms, and the garage! Should be fun to see the boys faces when they find that out! Wish me luck!

David and Tiana in Rexburg, ID. This is my new favorite pic of these two. Dave is there helping T get settled and get a few things squared away, before driving back. So far they found her a car, saw the school, and opened up a bank account. I think they must be having fun just being together without the boys for a change. It's a good thing:)

Saying Goodbye to Tiana...for now

Tiana left this past weekend, and I already miss her! She is off to school and a new chapter in her life. She is going to be attending Paul Mitchell in Rexburg Idaho where she will be amazing I'm sure. Good Luck T!!! We love you!

May 15th

For our annual Myers family holiday...we all went to breakfast, minus a few of us. It wasn't much but at least we did something. It was fun to think about old times and the kids had fun together. We were missing Ryan, Brad, Morgan and Sara who are all grown up and moved away...I hope someday we will be able to have them all here and in the same room again! I love my family!

Hockey!

Landon started hockey this past week and I think it is my new favorite sport!! It was so awesome to watch him play, and it is just amazing to me how well he is doing for being on the ice less than a month. Not only does he look adorable(sorry Lan, but you do) he rocks out there. If you want to join us for a game, feel free. We would love it! Saturday at 2 at the Toyota arena! Go Hawks!!
